What is technology?
Technology is the use scientific knowledge to address difficulties, improve lives, and accomplish goals and objectives. Enhancing productivity, changing lifestyles, and adjusting and influencing the human environment are just a few of the ways that technology may benefit industries and human existence. Technology was created roughly around three million years ago according to the web. However, it's not always been the same new things such as phones, iPad's, computers, and so much more is created with technology and has something new come out every day. There is not just one type of technology there is tons including the internet, cybersecurity, data bases, and cloud commuting, etc.
Pros of Technology
With its many advantages that improve our quality of life, technology has completely changed the way we connect, work, and live. It facilitates instant global interaction, encouraging cross-cultural cooperation and understanding. Technology within schools gives students access to a number of resources, allowing them to learn and develop at their own speed. Innovations in healthcare, such online medical care and eimprove patient outcomes and expand access to care. Industry efficiency is increased by automation and artificial intelligence, which lowers costs and fosters innovation. Plus, apps and smart devices support a healthy lifestyle, increase productivity, and keep us organized. Technology continues to transform modern civilization by overcoming differences and making challenging tasks easier.
Even though technology has greatly improved society, it also has disadvantages that can affect both people and society as overall. Reliance on technology might result in less in-person interaction, which can effect social skills and interpersonal relationships. Constant interaction can often result in stress, interruptions, and a chaotic work life balance. Differences are also brought about by the digital missing information which affects people without access to technology. Health problems including eye strain, bad posture, and low physical activity are associated with a frequent use of computers and technology. These difficulties highlight the necessity of careful and appropriate use.
Something I have learned from another students presentation
Something that I found interesting from another persons presentation was the one about carrier pigeons. I don't remember who I saw the presentation from but I thought it was a very detailed and the most interesting topic that was shown during presentation's. However, I think a bunch of other presentations were good as well. In the fifth century, Cyrus the Great introduced carrier pigeons in Assyria and Persia which served as guides and in war. At the time, they were the most effective form of long-distance communication. Something I have always wondered about birds where they fly to, how far they can go, and if they know exactly where they are going as well as how to get back. By listening to this presentation I learned that these types of birds can send messages and be able to handle getting back to there home. The most birds can fly is around three-hundred miles in one day. Which is something I never knew and was curious to know more about.
I also thought it was interesting that they were incredibly helpful in war. During the First World War, a carrier pigeon saved nearly 200 lives. 32 pigeons were awarded a Dickin Medal for saving the lives of soldiers by successfully and effectively communicating over long distances when no other kinds of communication were available at the time.
